Samsung Galaxy S25+ in for review | Infinium-tech
It has just come in the Galaxy S25+ and we have started work on its review. But in the meantime, let’s do an unboxing.
As before, the Galaxy S25+ ship with a USB-C cable and a SIM eject tool. You will need to supply your own case and charger. Charging, as before, peaks at 45 watts.
This is a running theme in the new Galaxy S25 series (but particularly non -altra model) – Little has changed. Galaxy S25+ is one Almost identical phone For your predecessor. It is easy to list what has changed – you get the new Snapdragon 8 Elite SOC and about it.
This is somewhat a big thing if we dig a bit deep than “it’s just a chip upgrade”. Snapdragon 8 Elite 8 is a sufficient jump on 8 genes. From the CPU, the new Oryan Prime Core runs up to 4.32GHz – a massive boost on the Cortex -X 4 core’s 3.4GHz. Qualcomm has claimed 45% faster processor in the elite. Moving forward in graphics, the aristocrat claims a 40% increase in performance. The nerve processing unit, aka NPU which runs AI magic, is 45% more powerful per watt. Finally, Snapdragon 8 Elite is postponed as 45% more efficient.
They are all staggering numbers. In our own benchmark testing (Galaxy S25 Ultra Review), we found that the new SOC was found to be about 30% in multi-core and about 25% faster in single-core tests, detos with graphics tests.
The Galaxy S25+ feels new and refreshed in a solid way. However, most of them come thanks to the visual overhaul that is a UI7, which is bound to bend down with the Galaxy S24+. All important animation snapness and liquidity have a level above and the interface seems high quality.
There are subtle new UI sounds that give software a physical appearance. Samsung took his time with this release and shows it. We are still such a citrus that the vertical scrolling app was not drawn. At this point, it is only Samsung that lacks facility.
But howyver big an upgrade the snapdragon 8 elite and one UI 7, there’s no going around the fact that the galaxy s25+ is pretty much Identical to its predacesor in the other ways IZe, and charging speed, and Worse, the same camera. We cannot see many people upgrading, even if we take into account Samsung’s generous pre-order trade-in offer.
