Samsung Galaxy F16 5G runs Geekbench, reveals its chipset | Infinium-tech
Samsung is working on Galaxy F16 5G, as revealed by the recent certification granted by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) for sale in India. Today the upcoming phone has been spotted in the Geekbench database as a prototype has run the benchmarks.
As usual, this reveals some peculiarities. The Galaxy F16 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC, like some versions of the Galaxy A16 5G, on which the F16 5G is very likely to be based, if we go by what happened in the past.
The prototype running the benchmarks had the chipset paired with 8GB of RAM, but note that the A16 5G is also available with 4GB and 6GB, so those options may be offered for the F16 5G as well.
The final thing that has emerged from the benchmark run is that the F16 5G is likely to launch on Android 14 with One UI 6.x on top, which is quite disappointing seeing as it’s not even official yet. Android 15 has been released. For a few months already. Then again, Samsung has been lagging behind its competitors this time around in terms of timeliness, so that might have played a factor here.
For what it’s worth, the tested prototype managed a single-core score of 678 and a multi-core score of 1,902 in Geekbench 6.3.0. If history repeats itselfSo expect the only difference between the Galaxy A16 5G and the Galaxy F16 5G to be a better battery for the yet-unannounced model.
