Samsung Galaxy A56 is in the works with huge performance boost | Infinium-tech
Samsung probably started working on the Galaxy A56 months ago, but now we have the first evidence of the matter via a listing in the IMEI database. The Galaxy A56 appears with its model number SM-A566B/DS. For reference, the A55 variant had the model number SM-A556B/DS, so everything is clear here.
Interestingly, Samsung’s Exynos 1580 chipset, which will be used in the Galaxy A56 when it launches, will bring a significant performance boost over its predecessor.
In fact, according to a Geekbench run from July, the Exynos 1580 is around the performance of flagship 2021 chipsets like the Snapdragon 888. For a mid-range SoC, that’s quite impressive. And it finally gives the best-selling A series device a chance to not fall behind in its performance for the first time in a while.
Please note that the Galaxy A55 was made official this March, so its successor could still be quite far away.
