Samsung Galaxy A16 5G promo materials reveal shocking update promise | Infinium-tech
Samsung’s Galaxy A16 5G will reportedly go official in December, but that hasn’t stopped it from leaking lately – most recently we’ve seen an official-looking image that shows it off from all angles.
Today some promotional materials have been released for the A16, and as you can see below, these reveal the most important features of the device.
The Galaxy A16 will feature a 6.7-inch 1080×2340 LCD screen with a 90Hz refresh rate and 800-nit peak brightness, either an Exynos 1330 SoC or Dimensity 6300 chipset (likely depending on region), 4/6/8GB of RAM, 128/256GB of storage, an IP54 dust and splash resistance rating, and the promise of a slew of software updates.
According to these materials, Samsung will promise six major Android updates and six years of security patches for the Galaxy A16, which, if true, would be unprecedented for its price range and could act as one of its key selling points against the (perhaps lower-priced) competition.
The A16 measures 164.4 x 77.9 x 7.9 mm and weighs 192 grams or 200 grams depending on the variant. It will be offered in Light Green, Blue Black and Gold colours. Previous certifications have revealed that it will have a 5,000 mAh battery.
