Samsung confirms one of the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s most leaked features | Infinium-tech
Today Samsung is announcing it will soon bring “a new layer of privacy” to “keep everyday moments truly yours.” See if the following quote from the official press release sounds familiar: “Samsung will soon unveil a new layer of privacy to protect your phone from shoulder surfing wherever you go. You’ll have a place to check your messages or enter passwords on public transportation without wondering who might be watching”.
That’s right, Samsung has basically confirmed the oft-leaked privacy screen feature of the Galaxy S26 Ultra. It will be incredibly customizable. The company says you can choose to turn it on for specific apps or only when entering access details “for more private areas of your phone.” You can also protect only “specific parts of your experience, like notification pop-ups.”

Samsung appropriately bills this as a “tailored approach” that you can fine-tune or turn off completely when you want, rather than a blanket on or off solution provided by a privacy screen protector that you apply to your device’s display. According to rumors, Samsung’s solution is built into the screen itself, which is why it’s so customizable.
This technology took five years of “engineering, testing, and refinement,” but now it’s finally (almost) here. No doubt more details will be officially available soon.
