Report: Apple raises its initial folding display order | Infinium-tech
Industry insiders have already predicted that Apple’s foldable iPhone will use Samsung display panels, with the Korean group building a dedicated production line specifically to meet Cupertino demand. According to earlier estimates, Samsung was looking to produce 15 million units of its crease-less display, but a recent report from South Korea suggests that this number has now been increased to 20 million units.

According to supply chain sources, Apple has increased its demand by 33%, which indicates that Cupertino expects strong consumer demand for its first foldable, despite the rumored $2,000 starting price. It’s also worth noting that this is just the initial order, with Apple likely to order even more panels going forward. Samsung is expected to begin mass production in May, while the iPhone Fold (tentative name) is expected to launch alongside the iPhone 18 Pro series this autumn.
