Redmi Turbo 4 Pro’s massive battery confirmed by a new rumor | Infinium-tech
Redmi launched the Turbo 4 earlier this month, and will be joined by the Turbo 4 Pro later this year. The Pro model was initially rumored to come with a 7,500 mAh battery, but then another rumor brought this down to “less than 7,000”.
Today another rumor on the matter reiterates what was said earlier and says that the 7,500 mAh battery capacity has been “confirmed” through prototype testing. Of course, it is far from one Officer Confirmed, so keep that in mind.

Interestingly, Redmi is now testing an 8,000 mAh battery for use in a later device, most likely a member (or more) of the K90 series.
It appears that Chinese smartphone makers are collectively moving away from chasing higher and higher charging wattage numbers to now trying to fit bigger batteries in their devices, and we’re all for it. This, of course, is made possible by new silicon-carbon technology that allows more density to be packed into the same footprint.
Hopefully once the battery capacity race slows down we will get back to trying to improve charging times because not long ago we were at about 20 minutes or so from zero to full, and now it seems That 35-40 minutes has become the new minimum. Of course, Samsung doesn’t know anything about this.
