Redmi Turbo 4 / Poco X7 Pro benchmarked with new Dimensity 8400 chipset | Infinium-tech
The Redmi Turbo 4 is launching as early as January as the first phone to use MediaTek’s newly unveiled Dimensity 8400 SoC. This brings a big core CPU design to the upper-midrange for the first time, which is quite an exciting development if you ask us.
With this in mind, you may be wondering what to expect from this chip in terms of performance. Although benchmarks are not necessarily indicators of good day-to-day performance, they can still help us compare different SoCs, and today the Dimensity 8400 has been outed on Geekbench, inside the Redmi Turbo 4.
As you can see in the screenshot above, the phone achieved a single-core score of 1,642 and a multi-core score of 6,056 in Geekbench 6.1.0. The CPU configuration of the Dimensity 8400 has one core at 3.25 GHz, three cores at 3 GHz, and four cores at 2.1 GHz (they are all Cortex-A725).
The Redmi Turbo 4 prototype that ran the benchmarks has 16GB of RAM and surprisingly runs Android 15. Of course, hopefully other RAM quantities will be offered as well. This phone is rumored to be rebranded as Poco X7 Pro internationally.
