Redmi Note 14 Pro 4G in for review | Infinium-tech
Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 14 series is official and what’s even better – the quintet is in the office! We’ll be doing a review on each of the five models, starting with the Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G. Next up is this – Redmi Note 14 Pro 4G.
It comes with a gray case, a USB-A to USB-C cable, and a 45W charger. The phone is available in Midnight Black, Aurora Purple and Ocean Blue, with prices starting at €300/£249 for the 8/256GB model.
Barring the obvious, there are a few notable differences between the Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G and the Redmi Note 14 Pro 4G – one has 5G and the other doesn’t. The 4G model has a 6nm Helio G100-Ultra paired with 8GB or 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM. The storage is of the UFS 2.2 variety.
The new model is also better built and adheres to the IP64 standard – meaning it’s more dust- and splash-resistant than the dust-proof Note 13 Pro 4G. Another improvement is the Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on the front.
The camera system hasn’t changed much compared to the older 4G model – you get the same sounding 200MP 1/1.4-inch main camera, an 8MP f/2.2 ultrawide and a 2MP f/2.4 macro. But the selfie is a 32MP f/2.2 unit – double the resolution as last year’s model.
The Redmi Note 14 Pro 4G packs a 6.67-inch 4200x1080px AMOLED with a 120Hz refresh rate. There’s a 5,500mAh battery inside – a 10% upgrade from the Redmi Note 13 Pro 4G.
Redmi Note 14 Pro 4G will be available from January 15.
