Redmi Note 14 5G in for review | Infinium-tech
Redmi’s refreshed global Note 14 series includes a trio of pros – 4G, 5G (review here), and Pro+ 5G – and a pair of non-pros – 4G (first encounter here) and this – the Redmi Note 14 5G.
The Redmi Note 14 5G comes with a 45W charger, a USB-A to USB-C cable, and a case. The phone comes in Black, Purple, and Coral Green, and will be available in 6/128GB, 8/256GB, and 12/512GB. The price is yet to be announced.
We have the purple model, which is probably the most interesting Redmi Note 14 device. There is a unique pattern on the back that divides the color of the phone into multiple shades. The Black model is the only model that is simply black, although its finish has a glossy quality.
Like the rest of the series, the Redmi Note 14 5G is of a similar size, built around a 6.67-inch display. It also gets a 5,110mAh battery – which is more than its predecessor’s 5,000mAh. On that subject, the Redmi Note 14 5G bumps the dust protection up to an IP64 rating (compared to IP54 on the older model).
On the back, the Redmi Note 14 5G brings a 108 MP main shooter with OIS, a 1/1.67″ sensor with 0.64 μm pixels. There is also an 8 MP ultrawide camera and a 2 MP macro shooter.
On the software side, the Redmi Note 14 5G runs HyperOS alongside Android 14 – which is older Android. Interestingly, the Poco X7 Pro runs the new HyperOS version 2 on top of Android 15.
Redmi Note 14 5G is in our review queue – stay tuned!
