Oppo is preparing to launch Watch X2 soon. Oppo product manager Zhou Yibao revealed that one of the major new features of the wearables will be a blood pressure monitor.
The smartwatch and its new functions were shown in live hands-on photos. The device will have a round screen and two buttons on the right side. It will be available in February, when the Oppo Find N5 will also be released as the “world’s thinnest foldable”.
The photo reveals an unusual design, but it seems to be a giant cover designed to protect the design from curious eyes before the official unveiling.
The executive claimed that the Watch He said that they need to take care of their diet and daily routine as hypertension (or high blood pressure) is the number one risk factor for death globally.
This will be Oppo’s first wearable that can monitor blood pressure. However, its sister company, OnePlus, has already integrated this feature into the Watch 2. Additionally, Oppo will join the ranks of Samsung, Huawei, Google (and Fitbit), and Garmin, who all offer similar products.
