OnePlus Ace 5 Pro arrives with Snapdragon 8 Elite and 6,100 mAh battery, Ace 5 tags along | Infinium-tech
OnePlus has unveiled the OnePlus Ace 5 and OnePlus Ace 5 Pro as the successors to the Ace 3 and Ace 3 Pro respectively. Since tetraphobia still exists in China, OnePlus left out the number ‘4’ in the name. That said, let’s see what OnePlus’ latest Ace series of smartphones has to offer.

Let’s first talk about OnePlus Ace 5 Pro. It is powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite flagship chip, paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM. The smartphone comes with up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage and runs Android 15-based ColorOS 15 out of the box.
The OnePlus Ace 5 Pro features “Double Ice Core VC” for 2x faster heat dissipation and a chip air duct design to quickly dissipate heat from the bottom of the chip. Additionally, it comes with a Fengchi Gaming Core (translated from Chinese) for native 120 fps gaming at 1080p resolution. OnePlus has also partnered with the guys from Genshin Impact to provide a better gaming experience.
The OnePlus Ace 5 Pro is built around a 6.78″ 120Hz 2780×1264-pixel resolution 8T LTPO AMOLED display protected by Crystal Shield Glass. The screen has a peak brightness of 4,500 nits and supports Dolby Vision and HDR10+. Works even when wet or when you’re wearing gloves.
Additionally, below the display there is a fingerprint reader for biometric authentication and a punch-hole for the 16MP selfie camera. On the back, we have a circular island that houses three cameras – a 50MP primary (Sony IMX906, OIS), an 8MP ultrawide (112° FOV), and a 2MP macro. The OnePlus Ace 5 Pro comes with some AI-powered camera features that let you remove people from photos and reduce the brightness of photos.
This Snapdragon 8 Elite flagship packs a 6,100 mAh silicon carbon battery with 100W charging support. It also supports bypass charging designed for gaming.
Rest of the highlights of the OnePlus Ace 5 Pro include X-axis linear motor, stereo speakers, multi-functional NFC, IR blaster, and IP65 rating. The smartphone also comes with Wi-Fi 7 and a gaming Wi-Fi chip called G1.

The OnePlus Ace 5 Pro is offered in purple, black and white colors, with the third being a special edition with a ceramic finish.
The smartphone has five memory options – 12GB/256GB, 12GB/512GB, 16GB/256GB, 16GB/512GB, and 16GB/1TB, priced at CNY3,399, CNY3,999, CNY3,699, CNY4,199, and CNY4,699 . , respectively. The special edition comes in 16GB/512GB and 16GB/1TB versions, priced CNY100 more than the regular model.

Let’s now talk about the OnePlus Ace 5, which is the Ace 5 Pro with a different processor, battery, charging speed, and color options. It does not come with a gaming Wi-Fi chip and the VC cooling system is also different. However, it supports 120 FPS gaming.
The OnePlus Ace 5 has a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and a 6,415 mAh silicon carbon battery that draws up to 80W of power via USB-C.
The Ace 5 comes in Titanium, Black and Celadon colors, with the Celadon model having a ceramic finish. And like the Ace 5 Pro, you get the Ace 5 in 12GB/256GB, 12GB/512GB, 16GB/256GB, 16GB/512GB and 16GB/1TB configurations, priced at CNY2,299, CNY2,799, CNY2,499, CNY2 . ₹999, and CNY3,499, respectively.
The ceramic model of the OnePlus Ace 5 also only comes in 16GB/512GB and 16GB/1TB variants, which cost CNY100 more than the standard versions.
The OnePlus Ace 5 is on sale in China via Oppo’s online store, while the Ace 5 Pro will be available from December 31.
