OnePlus 15’s display specs are now official | Infinium-tech
The OnePlus 15 launch in China is imminent, and it is rumored to have a global unveil in mid-November. Apart from all this, today the brand has teased the display of the phone extensively.
It is made by BOE, and the screen will be presented in full by BOE itself on October 14th. It comes with a 165Hz refresh rate as hinted at by a OnePlus executive some time ago, and OnePlus is also advertising 13% higher brightness and 11.8% better color accuracy and consistency, both presumably compared to the OnePlus 13’s panel.
The new display has 1.15mm bezels all around, and should come with 10% lower power consumption and 30% longer lifespan than the previous generation.
The screen is enhanced by the Oppo P3 chip that supports faster response times and helps maintain brightness consistency during high refresh rate use. The panel also boasts true hardware-level 1 nit minimum brightness, certified by TÜV Rhineland.
If you’re wondering why the screen’s resolution isn’t mentioned in OnePlus’ promo materials, that’s because it’s a downgrade to “1.5K” from its predecessor’s QHD+. OnePlus 15 will come with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset.
