The OnePlus 13R is being officially launched on January 7 during the global launch of the OnePlus 13, and so far most rumors believe that it will be a rebranded version of the OnePlus Ace 5, which was launched in China a few days ago. But the plot thickens, as OnePlus has already confirmed the battery capacity of the 13R, and it’s less than that of the Ace 5. And today a new rumor suggests another difference between the two – the 13R will reportedly have a telephoto camera.

Specifically, the 13R is said to use a 50 MP main camera with Sony’s Lixia LYT-700 sensor, an 8 MP ultrawide and a 50 MP telephoto with 2x optical zoom, Samsung’s ISOCELL JN5 sensor. Selfies will be taken care of by a 16 MP shooter.

The Ace 5 has all the same cameras except the telephoto, which it replaces with a decorative 2 MP macro sensor. So if this rumor pans out, the international OnePlus 13R will only be a step up from China’s Ace 5 in the camera department, while, as already mentioned, it will have to sacrifice some battery capacity for whatever reason.
