One UI 8 beta coming to Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6 next week | Infinium-tech
Samsung launched a public one UI 8 beta program on the Galaxy S25 series in May – Stable One UI 8 made its debut with 2025 foldables. Next week, the company will expand the program in last year’s flagship.
From next week, the owners of the following models in the US, UK, India and South Korea will be able to sign up for a UI 8 beta through Samsung members: Samsung Galaxy S24, S24+, S24 Ultra, S24 Fe, Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6.
Samsung Galaxy S24 • Samsung Galaxy S24+ • Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra
Samsung Galaxy S24 Fe • Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 • Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6
Again, it is for beta – stagnant release is coming to the latter date and the beta will include the response from the program. This release is determined to roll out for the Galaxy S25 series in September and expand other product lines in the sequence.
People with old phones will have to wait for a long time. For example, the following models will be able to join a UI 8 beta starting in September:
Note that we are assuming that the Galaxy S FE models are included in their respective S-series, as Samsung is already testing a UI 8 on S24 Fe. Also, we are not sure why the Galaxy is on the A36 list, but not A56 – it is from a global press release, so it is not a regional thing.
Given the watch branch of a UI 8 tree, the Galaxy Watch Ultra received already stable updates. The Galaxy Watch 7 is still on beta for some reason, though. Samsung is also testing old models and states that a UI 8 watch “will expand the Galaxy Watch 8 series later this year”.
