One UI 7 brings system-level HDR content shut-off toggle | Infinium-tech
Samsung’s One UI 7 update, which is currently in beta, is bringing a new feature that allows users to disable system-wide HDR content on their Galaxy devices. If you’ve ever been hit with a sudden burst of extremely bright HDR content on Instagram or YouTube, this option will definitely come in handy.
Samsung has added a Super HDR toggle inside the Advanced Features section in the Settings app. When disabled, this prevents the display from automatically adjusting to show the full range of colors and contrast in HDR content, keeping screen brightness consistent across applications.

Additionally, Samsung’s Super HDR is using the Google Ultra HDR format, which means turning off Super HDR will not only work for third-party apps and content shot on other Android devices, not just the Samsung Galaxy .
One UI 7 is currently in its second beta for the Galaxy S24 series and is expected to roll out to more devices in 2025.
