OLED MacBook Pro might show up next year, OLED MacBook Air is a distant dream | Infinium-tech
According to a new Korea’s new supply chain report, Apple’s first MacBook Pro will be launched in 2026. OLED panels will be made by Samsung display, which is why this leak comes from its country.
Samsung is currently working on the first samples for the display, and is expected to produce complete production starting next year. Shipment is estimated to be 3 to 5 million units per year.
The OLED screen will be launched with a fully re-designed MacBook Pro, so far rumored to go with a hole for webcam instead of a notch. It should be thin and lighter than current models, and it is going to be enabled by thin oled panels.
On the other hand, if you are waiting for McBook Air with an OLED screen, it will take even longer – really very long. They will clearly appear as soon as possible in 2029. Today’s rumors on this contradictory had talked about 2027 or 2028, but in any way – this is a long time from now.
When the first MacBook Air launches with an OLED panel, it should sports an inferior single-stack display compared to the MacBook professionals, which are receiving two-stack panels. The latter will be very bright compared to the east.
