nubia Neo 5 GT debuts with a built-in fan, 6,210mAh battery | Infinium-tech

Nubia has unveiled its new Neo 5 series of gaming-focused smartphones at the ongoing MWC Barcelona. The lineup includes Neo 5, Neo 5 GT and Neo 5 Max. However, the company has only revealed the full specifications of the Neo 5 GT so far.

The Nubia Neo 5 GT is claimed to be the only smartphone in its segment to feature a built-in active cooling fan. It also includes a large 29,508mm² cooling chamber designed to keep the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 SoC cool.

Other gaming-focused features include LPDDR Max RAM with speeds up to 6,400 MBps, a 360-degree game antenna, 550Hz Neo Trigger 5.0, and a display with a 3,049Hz instant touch sampling rate.

Talking about the display, the Neo 5 GT sports a 6.8-inch AMOLED panel with 1.5K resolution, 144Hz refresh rate, and up to 4,500 nits peak brightness.

The phone packs a 6,210mAh dual-cell battery that supports 80W wired charging with bypass charging for gaming sessions.

The Nubia Neo 5 GT sports a 50MP triple rear camera setup along with a 16MP front-facing camera for selfies. The device comes with stereo speakers with DTS:X Ultra support, RGB lighting, IP64 rating, AI Game Space 5.0, and many other AI-powered features.

It will be available globally, with the first rollout starting in Southeast Asia. The phone will be priced starting at €399 and will be offered in three color options.

The standard Neo 5, meanwhile, will start at €299 and will also be available in three colors. Nubia didn’t reveal much details about the Neo 5 Max, but confirmed that it will have a larger 7.5-inch display.
