Nothing Ear (Open) leaks in full ahead of imminent unveiling | Infinium-tech
Nothing is going to enter the open-ear earbud market in just a few hours, with the Nothing Ear (Open) unveiling scheduled for September 24 at 14:00 UK time (15:00 CET, 9am in New York, 6am in California, and 18:30 in India).
And now, ahead of the official announcement, the Ear (Open) has leaked as you can see from the pictures below. The earbuds have a semi-transparent design which is of course Nothing’s trademark.
Each bud has a 14.2mm driver made of titanium-coated polyethylene terephthalate. Each has a 64mAh battery, and the case has a 635mAh battery. The earbuds will offer eight hours of battery life, and this goes up to 30 hours if you add the case. For calls, the numbers are six hours and 24 hours, respectively.
The earbuds support Bluetooth 5.3 and dual connection, and are IP54 certified for protection against dust and splashes. They also have AI-powered Clear Voice technology for calls, ultra-low latency mode, and ChatGPT support, provided you have a Nothing smartphone.
The Ear (Open) has no active noise cancellation feature, and apparently they will only be available in white, at least initially. Pricing has not yet leaked.
