New Motorola Razr 50s is launching on SoftBank this Friday | Infinium-tech
Japanese carrier SoftBank quietly unveiled Motorola’s new flip foldable, the Moto Razr 50s. However, it appears to be a local version of the Razr 50 that has been on the market since June. Its launch in Japan is scheduled for September 27 (this Friday).
The phone has a 6.9″ inner display (1,080 x 2,640px) and a 3.6″ cover display (almost square 1,056 x 1,066px), both of which are OLED panels. The device is rated IPX8 for water resistance.
Like its global sibling, the Razr 50s features the Dimensity 7300X with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The device runs on Android 14.
It has three cameras – a 50MP main camera and a 13MP ultra-wide camera on the back, as well as a 32MP selfie camera in the display.
The 4,200mAh battery can be recharged in just an hour via USB-C (58 minutes), wireless charging is also supported (Qi). Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 6 (ax, 2.4/5/6GHz), Bluetooth 5.4 (with aptX-HD, LDAC, LHDC, LC3). It is a 5G phone with SIM and eSIM, data rates are up to 2.1Gbps and up to 113Mbps. 1seg is not supported.
Motorola Razr 50s in Koala Gray, Sand Cream, and Spritz Orange
SoftBank is offering payment plans of up to 49 months with a 0% annual interest rate. The total price is JPY 115,200 (this converts to $800). The first 12 payments can be as low as 3 yen per month.
