This is never old-MWC Week brings a high concentration of new launch, large strategy announcements and all types of state-of-the-art concepts that can show the route for the future or can never be seen.

We were as usual in Barcelona and got to experience the launch – and new tools – Firsthand. Here we will be organized by the brand here this week.

By the way, the results of the MWC 2025 Awards were announced a few days ago. Google took home best smartphones (Pixel 9 Pro) and Breakthrough device innovation (for its Gemini AI). Xiaomi scored the best in the Show Award (Xiaomi 15 Ultra), while Tecno caught the best connected consumer device award (Tecno Mega Mini Gaming G1).

Apple

Okay, so Apple was not in MWC, but announcements took place this week and are very important to remember. The company unveiled silicon’s new high-end pieces, M4 Max and M3 Ultra Chips, which can be found inside the Mac Studio-today’s most powerful Mac (there is no word on a new Mac Pro). As it turns out, the M3 Ultra is a slight faster than the m4 maximum.

New tablets are probably more relevant to most of our readers, but they do not provide new silicone facilities. The iPad (2025) uses the A16 chip, so it recalls on Apple Intelligence (the new iPad Mini received the A17 Pro, which can AI). This is the only new iPad without AI support, which is a strange partition step by Apple.

Apple upgraded the iPad Air in M2 chips last year, now they are being swapped for the M3 model instead. And this is the only upgrade – until you count the magic keyboard updated with a large trackpad and a line of function keys.

HMD

HMD focused on young fans with Fusion X1, with XPLERA parents pre-installed. The phone is a beautiful standard entry-level device, but is also a Barca Fusion Special Edition for Football Club fans.

As its deal to use the Nokia brand has ended, HMD launched several feature phones under its own brand, as well as a special version of 3210, styled after FC Barcelona.

Honor unveiled its first ultra watch, which is also its first with ECG. Additionally, it opened Honor Pad V9 and earbuds globally.

Honor announced that all magic equipment would get seven years of OS updates. Emphasis on “years”, it is not clear how much actual updates mean.

The company is focusing on AI with a 5 -year -old $ 10 billion plan to develop a large ecosystem of AI devices. It is called Honor Alpha Plan – you can read a little more about it.

Infinix

Infinix brought the Note 50 series to Barcelona. Both are 6.78 ”OLED display and 4G-Only models with 144Hz refresh rates and 5,200mAh battery and a kind of magnetic charging.

Realme showed a cool concept phone with interchangeable lenses and found us to try two available lenses: 73 mm (about 3x) and 230 mm (10X) that are more attached to a 1-inch sensor. Xiaomi took a separate on the interchangeable lens, do not remember that one.

Samsung

Samsung was focused on A-series, with Galaxy A56, A36 and A26. The three now promise 6 OS updates, which is better than many flagships. In addition, American fans will actually get to buy A56 this year. A56 and A36 were also launched in India.

TCL unveiled the two 60-series phones and expanded the NXTPaper 11 Plus Tablet in MWC. There are a pair of phone entry-level 5G devices, while the tablet has improved visual clarity by maintaining 100% SRGB coverage.

The Tecno Megabook S14 is a light (899G/1.98LBS) 14 ”laptop, the first OLED display (120Hz) of Tecno and Snapdragon X Elite Chip or Intel Core Ultra or 7 processor. Interestingly, Nvidia is an alternative external graphics dock with GPU.

Both Samsung and apples are working on slim phones and therefore is Tecno. We went to the hands with the Tecno Spark Slim concept device, despite having a 5,200mAh battery, it is just 5.75 mm thick.

The company also showed a 2MP spectravision camera that would help other cameras in adjusting color rendering.

Ulephone

Ulefone had three rugged phones to show. Ulefone Armor 34 Pro is an animal with a 25,500mAh battery, a built -in mobile projector (150 lumen) and 1,200 lumen flashlight. Kavach 33 Pro went in another direction and is equipped with 3.4 ”LCD and 118 dB speaker on the back.

Ulefone Armor Mini 4 is not what you think – this is a rugged feature phone. We do not see much of them recently. It has a 2,100mAh battery and hand -free FM radio.

Xiaomi

Xiaomi used the MWC stage to launch Xiaomi 15 and 15 Ultra globally. The camera on Ultra was already affected in our review. We also reviewed the small Xiaomi 15, which is more than a re -rated upgrade.

Xiaomi is dubbing with removable lenses, but Xiaomi modular optical system concept is not-instead, it is more like Sony’s old lens-style cameras.
