MSI announces new Claw models with Intel and AMD chips | Infinium-tech
MSI has announced a new model in its claw series of Windows-based handheld gaming console. This time, the company is leaving no stone unturned with both Intel and AMD Chips and launching the model.
Unconceptionally designated claw A8 AI+ A2VM and its white version, Paw A8 AI+ Polar Tempest version A2VM (hence referred to as A8 AI+ only for the sanctity of all), models with Intel chip. The A8 AI+ actually uses the same Intel Core Ultra 7 258V used on the 2024 claw 7 AI+ model, the same 32GB LPDDR5x 8533MHz with 1TB PCIE Gen4 X4 Nvme M.2 SSD with an on-package memory.
The new model gets an 8-inch 1920×1200 resolution, 120Hz IPS-level display with VRR support. The display has 100% SRGB coverage and 500 nits shine. The device hall uses analog stick and trigger, which lasts longer without flowing. There is also a dual thunderbolt 4 port with a microSD slot. Finally, the battery now collided to 80Wh and promises 4+ hours of the gameplay.
The Polar Tempest Edition includes 2TB storage and a great UV coating for its white paint. Meanwhile, standard A8 will have an alternative super pack variant that will bundle additional goods, such as a trip case, tempered glass screen protector, cord, docking station and 100W PD Charger instead of 65W.
Then the claw is the A8 BZ2M, which must be more interesting for most people. It facilitates AMD Ryzen Z2 extreme processor with Radeon graphics. It has the same 1TB SSD on 24GB LPDDR5X 8000mHz dual-channel memory and standard Intel models. The rest of the specs are also similar to the standard Intel model.
Information about pricing and availability at the time of writing was yet to be announced.
