Motorola starts seeding Android 15 beta to some of its phones | Infinium-tech
Frankly, when we hear Motorola, we rarely think about “fastest updates in the industry.” The company has been somewhat slow in moving its smartphones to the latest version of Android over the years, but that is now changing. Most of the handsets in the latest Motorola Edge 50 lineup are not only getting 5 years of major OS updates, but they also won’t be waiting much longer for it.
Motorola is already seeding Android 15 beta for some Motorola Edge 50 Fusion units, but we suspect the rollout affects other Edge 50 devices as well. With this Motorola is leaving behind some big names in the industry including Samsung.
Samsung still hasn’t opened its beta testing program and the consumer-ready version of its OneUI 7 + Android 15 combo will be available early next year.
Motorola is already publicly testing its beta software, with stable Android 15 expected to arrive later this year. Of course, it all depends on how smoothly the testing phase goes and how quickly Motorola will be able to resolve the issues.
