Meta has announced a major change in its privacy policy, and you cannot like it at all. Originally, starting on 16 December, it will use your interaction content with your generic AI features to personalize materials and advertising recommendations on its platforms. You will not be able to get out of it, but you will still be able to accommodate the content and advertisements you have seen, as you can already do. Thankfully, when you talk to Meta AI about subjects such as your religious views, sexual orientation, political views, health, racial or ethnic, philosophical beliefs, or trade union membership, these conversations will not be used to show you advertising. But they are the only exclusion that will apply.
The company has revealed that more than one billion people use meta AIs every month, so this privacy change will affect one of the eight people on the planet.
