MediaTek announces Dimensity 7400 and 7400X chipsets | Infinium-tech
MediaTek’s latest chipsets continue the tendency of marginal overhaul on their predecessors. Brand-New Demides 7400 and 7400X are near carbon copies of last year 7300 and 7300x, with the major changes 4x Cortex-A78 is 100 MHz overclocks on the performance core that now works up to 2.6GHz.
The 2x Cortex-A55 efficiency units have also been appointed at 2.0 GHz at CPU. Like last year, the 7400x variant supports the dual display and will start on the upcoming flip foldable device.
The new defenseness 7000 series chips have been fub on the 4Nm process of TSMC and are combined with support for the same Arm Mali-G615 GPU and LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. MediaTek also added its adaptive gaming technology 3.0 that balances performance for optimal battery life.
MediaTek’s network observation system (NOS) enables using an accurate 5G/Wi-Fi switching and advanced network prediction. In terms of connectivity, you get a 5G modem with 3CC carrier aggregation, three-band Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.4 support. MediaTek also added its IMAGIQ 950 ISP that supports up to 12-bit HDR and 200MP sensors.
MediaTek confirmed that the first batch of Dymenties 7400 series phone would be launched in 2025.
