macOS Tahoe 26 brings overhauled Spotlight, Shortcuts and Live Activities | Infinium-tech
While it may look like a full -size American SUV, Mcos Taho 26 is actually named after Lake Taho, which sits on the edge between California and Nevada. This update brings new liquid glass design language that we saw in the rest of Apple’s new software portfolio. Some of the major features introduced with iOS 26, such as call screening, hold assist and live translation, are coming in Macos.
Liquid glass couples depth, bring a transparent menu bar and control center as the most notable visual change. Apple expanded the control center togle and the theme colors were also added so that you could integrate your desktop more. You can also choose new folder colors and add emozis to them.
The phone app in Apple Macs is bringing an active iPhone to work. You can take and get calls and access your favorite contacts.
Live activities will now remain in the menu bar so that you can examine on food order or ride-out-of-the—-to request, although like the phone app, this feature works through continuity from an iPhone.
The spotlight gets one of its biggest updates. Users can now complete any task such as sending emails, making notes or launching shortcuts without opening any other app. You can also use a spotlight to perform tasks that are available inside its menu bar. Spotlight results are now listed and ranked on the basis of relevance to the user.
Shortcuts are also overhall and can now be executed at pre -determined time or by specific tasks.
The safari gets a visible overhaul to correspond to the new liquid glass design along with improvement in loading speed and battery life. Apple’s Journal App is now available on Mac.
The new Apple Games app is also here and brings a game overlay with sound, glow, coupled controller and control to battery level. Apple Frame is also bringing metal 4 with metalfax, frame interpolation, and metalfax danoizing. Users will also see the growing catalog of sports, which soon receive big titles.
Macos Tahoe 26 is available in developer beta today. Public beta is coming next month, while the official release will give up the decline. All Apple Silicon with T2 Security Chip (Macbook Pro, 2018) compatible with Silicon Mac and Intel models.
