LG’s new UltraGear GX9 series gaming monitor can go from flat to curved | Infinium-tech
LG today announced its latest WOLED gaming monitors with the new UltraGear GX9 series. The 45GX990A and 45GX950A have 45-inch screen diagonals with 5K2K resolution (5,120 x 2,160px) and 21:9 aspect ratio. They feature a 0.03ms (GtG) response time and variable refresh rate support, although LG hasn’t specified the exact refresh rate.
What’s more impressive is that the 45GX990A can go from completely flat to 900R curvature with a simple press. This is ideal if you’re considering between a flat or curved monitor, as you can have both. The 45GX950A model is a traditional curved monitor with 800R curvature and no inclination to go flat.
Both new monitors come with Nvidia G-Sync and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, as well as HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 2.1 connectivity. You also get LG’s Anti-Glare and Low Reflection (AGLR) coating and USB-C with 90W power delivery. The new monitors support LG’s dual-mode feature, which brings automatic aspect ratio and picture size adjustments.
LG has not yet provided pricing and official availability details. LG confirmed that it will be bringing more details about its UltraGear GX9 series monitors at CES 2025.
