Latest iPhone SE rumors reveal screen, camera, chip details | Infinium-tech
Another source claimed that Apple is preparing to launch the iPhone SE in early 2025. These rumors come just days after Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman revealed the timeline, but the new information adds more details about specifications and features.
According to the sources we spoke to 9to5MacThe fourth iPhone SE will have a modern look on the front, similar to the iPhone 14 with a notch and FaceID. It will also have the Apple A18 chipset and borrow some cameras from last year’s iPhone 15.
The current iPhone SE, launching in 2022, is basically the iPhone 8 with a new chipset, but the iPhone SE (2025) will be the first affordable Apple phone with 5G connectivity thanks to the new chip.
The front will feature a 6.1″ OLED panel with a 2,531 x 1,170 px resolution, while the sides will be flat. Since Touch ID is going away, the only biometrics authentication feature will remain Face ID.
There will be a 12 MP selfie shooter to keep the 3D face-scanning solution company inside the notch. There will be only one camera on the back, like the previous iPhone SE, but it will be the 48 MP main camera of the iPhone 15.
Bringing the Apple A18 chip means that the iPhone SE (2025) should get Apple Intelligence. Hopefully, the devices will get AI features straight out of the box, unlike the iPhone 16 series, which is still waiting for its software upgrade. And if you’re in the EU and China, they won’t be implemented in the near future.
Apple launched the iPhone SE (2022) at $429 but the 2025 version is expected to start at $459 or $499.
