iPhone Fold expected to launch in 2026 but ship in 2027, says Kuo | Infinium-tech
Apple’s first foldable iPhone is rumored to launch at next year’s fall iPhone event, but a new report suggests that shipments may be delayed until 2027.
The iPhone Fold, as we’re calling it now, is reportedly behind schedule, according to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.

Kuo said in a research note that Apple’s foldable iPhone is expected to face early-stage yield problems along with other manufacturing challenges before mass production. While Apple is on track to announce the iPhone Fold in the second half of 2026, Kuo warned that smooth shipments may not begin until 2027.
Despite strong demand, supply is likely to remain constrained until the end of 2026, he said. Separately, a recent report claimed that the iPhone Fold could help drive growth in the foldable smartphone market next year.
The iPhone Fold is expected to be priced around $2,400 in the US and will feature a 5.8-inch cover screen with a 7.58-inch internal flexible panel.
