iPhone 18 Pro under-display Face ID now in testing, rumor claims | Infinium-tech
According to a new rumor outside China, Apple is allegedly testing the under-display face ID sensor for the iPhone 18 Pro and the iPhone 18 Pro Max. These models will typically launch in September 2026, and a separate factor between them and the other two iPhone 18 models. This under-display will be 3D face scanning technology, which will allow Duo to make only one hole-punch for selfie cameras-no more.
Of course, the fact that Apple is testing technology, it does not mean that it will be happy with the results of the test, but it is still promising. Being capable of transferring face ID scanning techniques under the display, these iPhones will be very easily visible on the front, just as their Android -operated counterparts have done for years – but in that case, there is a very little safe way to do things that do not really rely on the camera.
If this rumor comes out then the notch goes
So with under -display face ID, we will find both the best of the world – no more ugly noted, but with security we have come to expect from Apple’s solution. Interestingly, the first folding iPhone is also being tested with under-display face ID. The iPhone 18 and the iPhone 18 will rely on the traditional rungs, for the least time.
