iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max to feature advanced LTPO+ OLED displays | Infinium-tech
A new report is coming from etnews’ Supply chain sources say Apple is planning to introduce advanced LTPO+ OLED panels with the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max models.

In addition to the reportedly more energy-efficient nature of LTPO+ displays, they will also allow Apple to place the IR scanner used for Face ID on the back of the display. Furthermore, some people familiar with the matter doubt that Apple will also move the selfie camera to the back of the screen without compromising on quality.
Interestingly, this would cut Chinese panel maker BOE out of Apple’s supply chain for the Pro models as only LG and Samsung can produce LTPO+ OLED screens. However, BOE may still produce panels for non-Pro models.
The report also suggests that Apple will include LTPO+ panels in its redesigned M6 MacBook Pro.
