iOS 19 leak shows major Camera app redesign, hints at bigger system-wide changes | Infinium-tech
A spicy new leak has just surfaced fpt The latest YouTube video reveals major changes to the iOS 19 camera app, and potentially a major overhaul to the OS itself. The camera app will become cleaner with fewer distractions around the viewfinder, but will also integrate some settings that are currently available outside the app, like resolution and frame rate controls during video recording. This is something that Android got from the beginning and it will finally be in iOS 19.
The video does not show the actual redesign because F.P.T. Doesn’t want to reveal his sources within Apple. Instead, the video shows a close-up representation of the future camera app. Everything is centered around the viewfinder with minimal distractions. All settings and camera modes are more compact, animations are more fluid, so you have to swipe up to access them.
Possible iOS 19 camera app redesign
In a way, it looks similar to some Android camera apps, especially the part where you can now change the resolution and frame rate within the camera app instead of having to go into the normal settings menu.
But leaks suggest there’s more to it than just a redesign. The whole aesthetic of the camera app and the way you can interact with the UI is reminiscent of VisionOS, which means a complete, system-wide redesign awaits us in iOS 19. This doesn’t seem too far-fetched considering the last major iOS redesign came with version 7.
On the other hand, we could see a gradual shift towards VisionOS aesthetics, starting with a subtle redesign of some core iOS apps before spreading across the system.
After all, it’s a little too early to be sure, so we can only guess, as iOS 19 is at least 9 months away for regular users, so a lot could change in that time.
