Infinix Zero 40 5G hands-on review | Infinium-tech
Introduction
The Zero 40 5G is the latest flagship model in Infinix’s smartphone range. Compared to the previous generation Zero 30 model, the Zero 40 is a somewhat minor upgrade with the addition of a number of specifications.
For starters, the display is largely identical to the same 6.78-inch-sized AMOLED panel with a 144Hz refresh rate, except that the new model has a few extra pixels of horizontal resolution. Similarly, the camera system is almost the same, with a 108MP main unit on the rear along with a 2MP depth sensor and a 50MP unit on the front, but the 13MP ultrawide was replaced with a new 50MP unit with autofocus , which can also be used. Macro shots.
The biggest difference is in the chipset with the Zero 40 5G replacing its predecessor, the MediaTek Dimensity 8020, with the faster Dimensity 8200 Ultimate. You also get advanced IP54 ingress protection, speakers tuned by JBL, and finally a new design.

When we reviewed the Zero 30 last year we were pretty pleased with it. Let’s see how the Zero 40 5G fares.
unbox
The Zero 40 5G comes in a mostly standard package, which includes the phone, a 45W fast charger, and a cable. The phone doesn’t have a screen protector installed by default like some other phones. Instead, Infinix provides it in the box and you have to install it yourself.
The case involved is unique. The good thing is that it includes a magnetic charger support that works with Infinix’s magnetic wireless charger. On the other hand, calling it a case is generous, as it’s exceptionally thin and only covers the back as well as the top and bottom of the phone. Meanwhile, the shores are left completely unprotected. This case only makes sense if you plan to use wireless charging accessories. Otherwise, you’re better off getting your own.
