Huawei’s global YouTube channel a posts Mate XT Ultimate video, hinting at a global launch | Infinium-tech
When Huawei announced its unique tri-fold phone, the Mate XT Ultimate, it only detailed plans for a launch in China and made no mention of a global release. Will this be another great phone that never leaves China? Probably not, given how the company is using its global social networking accounts to promote the XT.
First, the company shared these promo images on X. However, it doesn’t say anything about a wider launch.
Additionally, Huawei has posted a one-minute YouTube video showing off the key design elements of the Mate XT Ultimate, including the technological achievements that make the phone possible and the premium design that a phone of this price deserves.
Of course, there is no mention of a global launch in the video. But then what is the need to post on global accounts – just to intimidate other manufacturers? Well, when one company’s dual-fold phone is 12.1mm thick and Huawei’s tri-fold phone is 12.8mm thick, then yes, it is quite a big show-off.
Anyway, Huawei’s XT account has posted about the Huawei Mate Pad launch on September 19, with some focus on the cool new Glide keyboard (think Magic Keyboard). The reservation campaign for the XT in China also ends on September 19. That’s on Thursday next week and we’ll be keeping our ears open for any mention of the tri-foldable XT during the MatePad event.
