Huawei nova 13i launched with 108MP camera, Snapdragon 680 chipset | Infinium-tech
Huawei introduced the Nova 12i (and some other models) in March 2024. Only the 12i was a new device, the others were variations on existing models. Now the company has quietly added Huawei nova 13i to its site.
There is not much newness this year. In fact, we’re scrolling down to the specific page trying to see what’s changed since 12i and we’re coming up blank.
The Huawei nova 13i (like its predecessor) stands out with a 108MP main camera, but that’s the only impressive camera on board – there’s also a 2MP depth sensor on the back and an 8MP selfie camera on the front. And due to the chipset, the main camera is limited to 1080p video at 30fps.
that’s the chipset snapdragon 680 – Yes, good old 680 from late 2021. It’s a 4G chipset and it supports exactly the same LTE bands as it does on the 12i. And once again it is paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB or 256GB storage. One thing that has changed is the OS version that comes out of the box, it is now EMUI 14.2.

The Nova 13i is equipped with a 6.7” LCD with 1080p+ resolution and 90Hz refresh rate. It has Always On Display functionality, which is a little unusual for an LCD but not new either. The 8MP selfie cam is punch-holed in the display, while the fingerprint reader is placed on the side.
The phone has a 5,000mAh battery with 40W SuperCharge turbo charging – in half an hour, it can bring a drained battery up to 62%. The 13i is available in blue and white, both with gold highlights, most notably the Super Star Orbit ring around the camera.
