Honor Robot Phone teased ahead of full unveiling in March | Infinium-tech
Honor made the Magic8 and Magic8 Pro official today, and during the same event the brand also teased an upcoming device it’s calling a robot phone. It will be fully unveiled at MWC in Barcelona in early March next year.
Until then, we’ve got the teaser video below, and if you’re wondering what makes it a “robot phone,” it’s a gimbal camera that looks a lot like the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 — only it’s integrated into a phone, of course. Take a look for yourself:
So, this is a robot phone – or, better said, Honor Robot Phone – because the camera moves in a way that mimics a human (or robot) head. It also interacts this way with whatever it sees and will definitely have a lot of AI features built-in.
Right now, Honor is presenting it as a concept, and it’s unclear whether we’ll see its full presentation at MWC in March as a concept device or as a ‘finished’ device. Only time will tell. Before that, you can Register on Honor website To learn more and get “behind-the-scenes stories and first-hand information.”
It also lets you participate in early user research, with “your valuable feedback” potentially contributing to shaping the final form of the product. You will be “one of the first people in the world to experience, touch and test this revolutionary device”, so all in all, it seems like a very good idea to enter your email to receive all these benefits.
