Honor Magic7 Pro teaser video shows off new quad camera | Infinium-tech
This Wednesday, Honor will unveil the next major version of its Android software, MagicOS 9.0. On Wednesday next week, the company will also unveil the Honor Magic7 series – the first flagships to use that software.
The company also offered a quick glimpse of what appears to be one of these phones, the Honor Magic7 Pro. Here’s the teaser video, which shows the distinctive camera island shape that we also saw on the Magic 6, but now with four lenses instead of three.
This colorway is called “Moon Shadow Grey” and was inspired by the first sci-fi film trip to the moon,
What the video doesn’t show you is what’s on the front – you can see it (in schematic form) in the user manual. Like the Magic6 Pro, the Magic7 Pro will feature a pill-shaped punch hole along with a 3D ToF sensor for secure facial recognition.
The rear camera will offer up to 6x optical zoom and 100x hybrid zoom. As you can see in the schematic, the top left module has the square lens that is typical of periscope modules.
The user manual shows the location of the side keys, the USB-C port (which also handles wired headphones, there’s no 3.5mm jack) and the dual nano-SIM tray (no microSD slot).
You can also see the front of the Honor Magic7 Pro in the hands of CEO George Zhao. It is clear that the phone will have a curved display just like its predecessor.
