Honor 200 and 200 Pro get new AI features in India with the MR2 update | Infinium-tech
Last month, Honor released a software update with call recording feature for the Honor 200 and Honor 200 Pro in India. Now, the brand has released the MR2 update for both smartphones with new AI features.
The first is AI Eraser, powered by Google Cloud’s generative AI, and the second is Face-to-Face Translation, which provides real-time translation in multiple languages.
Additionally, the MR2 update bumps up the Android security patch level on the Honor 200 and Honor 200 Pro to September 2024. You can check the changelog below for more details.
- Security Updates
- Integrated with September 2024 Google security patch.
- AI Eraser
- Powered by advanced Google Cloud Generative AI, the feature allows users to easily remove unwanted objects, text, and background elements from photos. It then fills the gaps with realistic content, ensuring high photo quality.
- face-to-face translation
- It provides real-time translation for multiple languages, supporting both voice and text input. The feature is ideal for travelers and language learners, enabling translation broadcasts for seamless communication.
- USB data protection
- Enhances security by requiring user authentication when switching USB mode from “charge only” to data transfer mode.
- Split-screen app combinations
- Allows users to save app combinations in split-screen mode as home screen icons for quick access.
Honor said that the update will reach all users by September 13, and if it doesn’t, users can go to their phones and check for it manually. Settings , System and updates , Software Update Menu And click “Check for Updates.”
