Here’s the first iPhone 16 Pro video teardown | Infinium-tech
The iPhone 16 family was officially launched last week and went on sale worldwide today. After the initial unboxing video from a few days ago, we now have the first teardown video of the iPhone 16 Pro.
This shows how you can get inside the device, and it’s from the back like most phones. Compared to the iPhone 15 Pro, the motherboard of its successor is smaller and more compact, and the overall layout is quite different. There’s also better heat dissipation, but repairs can be difficult due to the reduced space.
The camera assembly on the iPhone 16 Pro is larger than its predecessor, thanks to the 12 MP periscope telephoto camera. As we mentioned yesterday, the iPhone 16 Pro’s 3,582 mAh battery is 9.4% larger than the 3,274 mAh cell on its predecessor. It’s also in a steel shell (unlike the iPhone 15 Pro), which could help dissipate heat.
The phone’s inner shell is made of aluminum and graphite. Apple says the new chassis improves thermal performance by five times. The camera control button is not removable, it is laser welded. The charging port flex cable has been separated from the microphone, so repairability has improved in this regard.
