Here are the Google Pixel devices that will receive Android 15 later this week | Infinium-tech
Google has started gradually rolling out Android 15 to supported Pixel devices. Some users report that they have already received the update, but the mass rollout should happen later this week.
Here are the supported Pixel phones:
Google Pixel 6 • Google Pixel 6 Pro • Google Pixel 6a
Google Pixel 7 • Google Pixel 7 Pro • Google Pixel 7a
Google Pixel Fold • Google Pixel Tablet
Google Pixel 8 • Google Pixel 8 Pro • Google Pixel 8a
Google Pixel 9 • Google Pixel 9 Pro XL
The Pixel 9 Pro and 9 Pro Fold aren’t on the list, but they will definitely be updated as well. Despite arriving on September 9 instead of August 22 like the 9 and 9 Pro XL, they launch with Android 14.
Android 15 is bringing many improvements, you can find the full list HereHighlights include a more efficient AV1 software decoder (dav1d), better PDF handling and better font rendering, as well as experimental support angle (Almost the original graphics layer engine).
Users will be able to free up space on their devices by storing apps. They will also have the option to create a private space where they can keep sensitive apps under an additional layer of authentication. Additionally, the new API will allow apps to choose power efficiency over performance for certain workloads.
There’s a lot more: richer widget previews, picture-in-picture improvements, improved Do Not Disturb rules, dedicated support for cover displays on foldables, satellite connectivity, NFC and Wallet improvements, plus huge improvements to big screen multitasking.
