Here are the first leaked renders of the OnePlus Open 2 along with its improved specs | Infinium-tech
The OnePlus Open 2 is the highly anticipated sequel to 2023’s original Open, which was one of the best foldables of that year. So, clearly, OpenGL 2 has a lot to live up to.
Today a new leak gives us our first look at the OnePlus Open 2. These renders are reportedly based on “late-stage prototypes”, so small things may still be changed but nothing major.
OnePlus Open 2 renders have been leaked
The OnePlus Open 2 will be larger and thinner than its predecessor, while retaining the large circular camera island with the prominent Hasselblad branding. The phone will apparently be just 10mm thick when folded, and will have an IPX8 rating for water resistance. For comparison, note that the OnePlus is 11.7mm thick when folded open and only has an IPX4 rating for splash resistance.

The OnePlus Open 2 is rumored to have an 8-inch “2K” LTPO OLED folding screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 6.4-inch cover display. It will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, paired with 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage.
The phone is said to have a 50 MP main camera, a 50 MP ultrawide, and a 50 MP telephoto with 3x optical zoom. Selfies will be taken care of by two cameras, one on the inside screen, the other on the cover display, and these will be 32 MP and 20 MP respectively (although it is not clear which one).
Keeping the lights on will be a 5,900 mAh battery that will support 80W wired and 50W wireless charging. The device will come with Android 15 and OxygenOS 15 out of the box.
The OnePlus Open 2 will, as we speculated, be a rebranded Oppo Find N5, which is scheduled to launch in China early next year. According to this report, the Open 2 will be released in “late Q1”, so sometime in March – note that this contradicts a recent rumor that claimed we’d see the next OnePlus foldable in the second half of next year. Will see in half yearly.
