Gurman: iOS 27’s Siri Extensions feature will get its own App Store section | Infinium-tech
Last week, a report revealed that Apple planned to let Siri connect with third-party AI chatbots through a new ‘Extensions’ feature in iOS 27. Now, additional details about the feature have emerged.
Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reported in his Power On newsletter that the extensions feature will have its own dedicated section within the App Store, effectively serving as a marketplace for AI integration.

Users will be able to browse this section and add third-party chatbots to Siri, enabling them to walk directly within the assistant. However, this feature will only work with apps that support these extensions.
iOS 27, which is expected to be unveiled at WWDC 2026 on June 8, is also set to feature the long-awaited Siri overhaul. The stable release will likely come in September, along with the new iPhone 18 Pro models and the iPhone Fold.
