Gurman: iOS 27 update to focus on performance improvements and AI | Infinium-tech
The iOS 26 update for iPhone was all about the new ‘Liquid Glass’ user interface and many new features. However, the next major iPhone update, iOS 27, will reportedly focus on improving performance and AI features.
According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the iOS 27 update will deliver ‘quality improvement and artificial intelligence features.’ He further said that Apple is prioritizing bug fixes, improving core system performance and overall platform stability.
Apart from performance and stability improvements, Apple will also bring new AI features in the iOS 27 update. According to Gurman, the update will expand AI to more apps and include ‘health-focused’ AI agents and AI-supported web search capability. Apple is also reportedly working on a ‘full-fledged’ chatbot called ‘Veritas’, which can be used to improve Siri.

New features and improvements will also be present in the macOS 27 update. Apple is expected to release the first beta version of iOS 27 and macOS 27 in June next year.
