Apple will launch the iPhone 17 Air as the thinnest smartphone in its history, but its initial plans were allegedly even more boulders. According to Mark Gurman, Cupertino officials wanted the device to be port-free, leave the USB-C.
Eventually, the idea was sheltered to appeal to the regulators of the European Union, who pushed Apple to adopt the USB standard.
At his “Power on” newsletter for Bloomberg, Mark Gurman said the wind “would predict a step for the slimmer model without charging the ports.”

The iPhone 17 Air will have a 6.6 “display with a dynamic island, a camera control button and a battery life equal to the current iPhones.
