Gurman: Apple to launch an event-planning service called Confetti | Infinium-tech
Apple will offer a new iCloud service designed for events and invitations. The service will vary from the calendar and is set to launch the “week” reported by Mark Gurman in its latest weekly podcast “on -demand” for Bloomberg.
The service will be called “confede” and “will be a new way to invite people to parties, tasks and meetings.”
The arrival of the service is associated with the iOS 18.3 launch, which started rolling out last week in the last days of January. The new invitation service was already observed by the 9to5MAC in the OS beta code, and it seems that the iCloud will be integrated within the app, and there will be a web version on iCloud.com.
The role of the app is to invite people to events, and the user will be able to see who is RSVP’D. It may have a “more fun interface” than the calendar app, already the basic task of inviting someone to an event.
