Not a day goes by without a slew of leaks about the Pixel, and after an earlier leak detailing the surprise Android version that will launch alongside the Pixel 9 family, we now have another leak focused on the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, which is Google’s second foldable smartphone and the successor to last year’s original Pixel Fold.

It is said to measure 155.2 x 77.1 x 10.5mm when folded and 155.2 x 150.2 x 5.1mm when unfolded. This makes it slightly taller, much wider and much thinner than its main rival Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold6. It is also thicker than the world record-holding Honor Magic V3 which is just 9.3mm thin when folded.

The Pixel 9 Pro Fold will reportedly weigh 257 grams, which is significantly more than the Magic V3 (226 grams), Galaxy Z Fold6 (239 grams), and OnePlus Open (239 grams). However, it is much lighter than its previous model which weighed 283 grams.

The Pixel 9 Pro Fold’s internal screen will be second only to the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro’s in size, and the panel will apparently go up to a maximum brightness of 2,700 nits (just like its external screen).

The upcoming foldable will be offered with 256GB and 512GB of storage, but for some reason only the former variant will be available in India. It will have 16GB of RAM and a 4,650 mAh battery which is actually smaller than the 4,821 mAh unit in the Pixel Fold.

A big screen and small battery aren’t good for battery life, but Google will still advertise “24 hours of battery life,” whatever that means. The Pro Fold will last up to 72 hours if Extreme Battery Saver mode is on.

Like the rest of the smartphones in the Pixel 9 family, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold will also run on Android 14, and the update to Android 15 will arrive within a few weeks of its release.
