Google is working on a Pixel laptop, report claims | Infinium-tech
The Pixel name was first used by Google in 2013 with the original Chromebook Pixel. While the Chromebook Pixel line discontinued in 2017, the Pixel name lives on to describe Google’s entire mobile portfolio.
And according to a new rumor, the company will soon launch a new laptop. It will be very descriptively called the Google Pixel Laptop, and its internal codename is reportedly Snowy.
Google employees are reportedly comparing it to Apple’s MacBook Pro, Dell’s XPS line, Microsoft Surface Laptop, and Samsung Galaxy Chromebook, so it should be high-end in build quality with the goal of capturing premium laptop market share.
What’s unclear, and perhaps the most important information about it, is whether it will run Google’s Chrome OS or Windows. We admit that this is probably the same as before, but this will undoubtedly strain its broader appeal.
