Google is fixing an annoying issue with the Pixel 9 Pro Fold | Infinium-tech
If you have ever used a foldable phone with a magnetic case, you probably know the conflict. Magnetic cases interfere with the sensor that measures the Kaja angle, which is very important for day-to-day use. This system helps in transition to the transition and basically infection between the front states.
With the release of Android 16 Beta 2, the Google Pixel System is dealing with the problem on the Pixel 9 Pro fold through the Services application. Now there is a new setting called “Robust Open/Close Detection” and Google suggests you that if you are using a magnetic case then start you. This will eliminate intervention between the sensor and magnets on the case.
However, an additional warning suggests that if you are not using a case then you keep the option off as it can cause a rapid battery drain.
Unfortunately, we do not know whether the fix will be made available to other Android foldables or if it will be exclusive to the Pixel 9 Pro fold, and other manufacturers will have to come up with fix on their own.
