Google expands AI Mode’s Search Live experience to over 200 countries | Infinium-tech
Google announced Search Live in AI mode in June last year and now the feature is expanding to more than 200 countries and territories. Basically, it’s now available everywhere there’s an AI mode, and in all languages in which the AI mode works.

Search Live is a conversational experience built into Google Search’s AI mode. To enter it, open the Google app on Android or iOS and tap the Live icon below the search bar. Once you do, you can ask questions, receive audio responses, then continue the conversation with follow-up questions or dive deeper via web links.
If you enable the camera, you can also ask about something in front of you – this will provide additional context. Like you need to install something new, point the camera at that thing and ask how to do it. You can also access Search Live in Google Lens by tapping the Live option at the bottom of the screen.
If this all sounds a little too similar to Gemini Live, that’s because it is. But it’s not in Gemini, it’s in Google search. This is its essence. If you prefer text mode, there’s a transcript option for that, and Search Live even works in the background on your phone, so you can continue talking even if you’re in another app.
