Global OnePlus 15 will be identical to the Chinese model, including the huge battery | Infinium-tech
The OnePlus 15 went official in China last month, and it’s going global on November 13, which is exactly a week from today. Ahead of the global unveiling, the company has shared some more details about the device and its inner workings.
Like the Chinese model, the international OnePlus 15 features a “1.5K” resolution LTPO OLED screen with a 165Hz refresh rate, and this combo is a first in the industry. It should deliver “a new level of fluid motion combined with retina-level clarity and detail”.
The display has an 1,800-nit high brightness mode and a minimum brightness of 1 nit. It is certified by TUV Rhineland for eye care, and includes an Eye Comfort reminder and Eye Comfort mode when gaming “which subtly adjusts color saturation to help reduce eye strain”.
The brand promises that you will be able to enjoy 165fps gaming in Call of Duty: Mobile, Brawl Stars and Clash of Clans. In other titles, you can apparently expect “industry-first always-on 120fps gameplay with zero frame drops.”

It also features a 360-degree Cryo-Velocity Cooling System, which integrates a 5,731 mm² 3D vapor chamber for greater heat dissipation and an aerospace-derived airgel insulation layer to reduce heat transfer, as well as a white graphite back cover for even thermal distribution. All this should make the phone comfortable to touch no matter what you’re playing and for how long.
The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, paired with a dedicated touch response chip that enables 3,200Hz touch sampling. It also has a standalone Wi-Fi chip that “maintains strong, stable connectivity even in crowded network environments”.

Keeping the lights on is the same 7,300 mAh silicon nanostack battery that made its debut in the Chinese model, thankfully. It has 15% silicone content, and charges at 120W via wire and 50W wirelessly. The battery will retain at least 80% of its initial capacity after four years of use and can operate reliably even in temperatures down to -20°C.
Unsurprisingly, the OnePlus 15 will debut with OxygenOS 16 based on Android 16. The handset comes with IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance.
